Thomas Stanley Holland is one of the most famous British Actors and dancer despite his very young age. He is best known for his role as Spider-Man in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Tom Holland was born on the 1st of June 1996 in Kingston upon Thames, England.
He is the oldest of four boys, his three brothers being twins Sam Holland, Harry Holland and Paddy Holland. He was born to artistic parents, his mother Nicola Elizabeth Frost, a photographer, and his father, Dominic Holland, a stand-up comedian, and an author. At the age of seven, Tom was diagnosed with Dyslexia.

He attended Donhead Preparatory school, a Roman Catholic preparatory school, then Wimbledon College up until December 2012 and BRIT School For Performing Arts and Technology in England.
Tom Holland Dancing and Acting Career
Tom Holland started dancing from his childhood, he attended Hip Hop dance classes at Nifty Feet Dance Studio whose owner, Lynne Page, was an associate to the choreographer(Peter Darling) of the hit movie, Billy Elliot in 2000.
After Tom and his class performed at the Richmond Dance Festival in 2006, Lynne page was convinced to send Tom to audition for Billy Elliot the Musical. Since he had no official training in drama and ballet, the talent evaluators were not impressed with him, but Tom still managed to impress Stephen Daldry, Billy Elliot Director, who loved his natural stage presence and performing ability.
After two years of ballet lessons, he got the role of Billy Elliot’s best friend, Michael, before procuring the role of Billy Elliot in the West End Production in June 2008.
In September 2008, Tom (alongside his co-star Tanner Pflueger) appeared on the news programme on channel FIVE and gave his first TV interview. In 2009, he appeared on ITV1 show ‘The Feel Good Factor.’
After his part in Billy Elliot the Musical, the young actor got the chance to voice as Sho, the main character in the British version of the animated movie, ‘The Secret World of Arrietty’ in 2010.
His performance in ‘The Impossible’ directed by Juan Antonio Bayona, where he played the role of an adolescent boy caring for his sick mother(Naomi Watts) while searching for his missing father(Ewan McGregor) established him as one of Hollywood’s young and promising talent. His role in The Impossible got him a lot of praise and good reviews, he also earned several awards.
The movie was at that time premiered at the Toronto International Film. The young and talented actor starred in the drama film ‘How I Live Now’ as Isaac (co-starring with Saoirse Ronan) which was released in the UK on the 4th of October 2013.

The Rising star also got a supporting role as Gregory Cromwell, son of the main character, Thomas Cromwell (Mark Rylance) and appeared on four episodes in the BBC Historical Mini-series, Wolf Hall in 2015. Shortly after, he was announced to play the role of Peter Parker/Spiderman in Spiderman: Homecoming on the 23rd June 2015. Tom Holland was well suited for the Teenage Spiderman than his predecessors, Tobey McGuire, and Andrew Garfield. His part in ‘In The Heart of The Sea’ in 2015 also showcased the budding actor as one of the promising Hollywood stars.
In 2016, Tom Holland came out as Spiderman in ‘Captain America: Civil war. He also went on to play the role of Bradley Baker in ‘Edge of Winter’ later in 2016. He also performed outstandingly in the ‘Lost City of Z.’
Tom co-starred along with Richard Armitage and Jon Bernthal in the film ‘Pilgrimage’ in 2017 which premiered on the 23rd of April 2017 at the Tribeca Film Festival. He also played the role of Samuel Insull in ‘The Current War’ which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. He got a lot of good reviews for his role.
His most anticipated act came in 2017, with the release of ‘Spiderman: Homecoming, he also got the opportunity to star as Spiderman in ‘Avengers: Infinity Wars’ which was released later in the 27th of April 2018.
Thomas is set to play the role of Spider-Man again in the Untitled Avengers film, Scheduled to be released on the 3rd of May 2019, and the sequel to Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far From Home, which is scheduled to be released on the 5th of July 2019.
