ICE PRINCE- Biography, Music, Awards & More

Ice Prince is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, rapper, recording artist and actor who is signed to chocolate music.

 Early Life

Born  Panshak Henri Zamani in the year 30 October 1986 in the Nigerian city of Minna, Niger state. When he was two years of age Ice prince relocated with his family to Jos, Plateau State. While still residing in Jos, Ice Prince attended St. Murumba college from which he attended Science tutorial college Jos.

Ice prince began writing music as early as 1999 and was a member of his church choir singing the tenor. He performed at school events in his then high school and began getting studio sessions in 2001. In 2001,he formed a rap music group with a couple of friends and called it “Ecomog  Squad” which would later split in 2003. In 2004, he alongside M.I, Jesse Jagz and a few other artists formed a record label  called Loopy Music which would go on to release his first records.

He would later gain admission into the University of Jos to study Zoology where he dropped out after his first year, citing the death of his father and financial constraints.

Musical Career

Ice Prince would later get signed to Chocolate City following the footsteps of M.I and Jesse Jags. His breakthrough would not come until 2011 when he dropped Oleku which featured Brymo. It went on to be a smash hit and cemented his name as one of the top artists in Nigeria. Oleku was released to so much fanfare and he followed up with hits such as Superstar, aboki and Juju.

In 2011 he dropped his debut project “Everybody loves Ice Prince” which included hits such as superstar, Juju, Oleku. The album was popular among fans and received a lot of critical acclaim. By 2013, he dropped he dropped his next project “Fire Of Zamani”. Ice Prince has since dropped more projects.

In 2015 Ice Prince was made vice president of Chocolate city music, he also has a son named Jamal. Ice Prince cites Jay-Z, Talib Kweli, M.I, Kanye West, Lauryn Hill as his influences.

Relationship and Personal life

Ice Prince has been linked with a lot of women as his popularity soared. The Oleku crooner was reportedly dating Eva Alordiah in his early days at Lagos and also has a son named Jamal, with a lady known as Bimbo Babatunde.
