Erhiga Agarivbie is a Nigerian hip hop Rapper, singer, songwriter and recording artist. He is popularly known by his stage name, Erigga but he is also known by many nicknames including PaperBoi 2SeC, Eribaba, and New Money. He is widely known for his ability to rap in pidgin language which dominates the language of the streets in Nigeria.
Erhiga Agarivbie was born in the year 1987 on the 30th of March that year in Warri, Delta state. He also originates from Warri, Delta State. Erigga is the first child of five children born to his parents. He finished his secondary and primary education in Warri as well.
Erigga dreamed of becoming a professional basketball player and in his early youth, he took part actively in sports. At some point, he starred in the Milo Basketball School Competitions.
However, he became more interested in the emergence of rap and hip-hop to exciting levels in the Nigerian music industry and thus decided to join the music scene. His musical influences are the likes of 5o Cent, Canibus, Jay Z, Eminem, Ja rule, Rakim, and Nas.
Erigga began his journey to stardom in the early months in 2010. He has worked with many producers and musicians in the Nigerian Music Industry. Some of these producers include Snow Man, Phizy Joe, and PFizzy. He has also made a lot of collaborations with Olamide, Duncan Mighty, Orezi, Harrysong, Skales, and Kudie.
His first music single which brought him to the spotlight “Mo Street Gan” and the music video was directed by Akin Alabi.
Sometime in 2013, he released another hit single “Coupe Decale ft Shuun Bebe” which was aired in many TV stations in Nigeria. He also released another hit single in 2014, titled “Love no Be Garri” featuring Jimoh Waxiu.
In 2016, Erigga also got a deal with Emirate Empire which was worth about N10 million. He has released well over fifty songs including an album which he titled “A Trip to the South”

Erigga is easily regarded as a real talent when it comes to his rapping style but his growth in the music industry has been very limited due to the vulgar and extremely raw lyrics used in his songs. Also, some of his music videos made in recent years are shunned by TV stations due to its graphic content. One of this is his music video “Dem No Get Two Heads.” This music video was viewed only via Youtube but not much around TV stations due to its contents.
The Warri Born rapper is signed by the New Money Entertainment which is owned by Snow Man. It would interest you to know that Erigga has served about four years imprisonment (within his hometown) for burglary and a lot of other crimes. Life on the streets and in prison is greatly reflected in his music as he has released many of his albums while serving this term. As at 2017, he was released from Prison.
