Dice Ailes Early Life and Education
Shasha Damilola Alesh whom we know as Dice Ailes is a Nigerian Singer, Songwriter, and Rapper. Dice Ailes was born on the August 1st, 1993 in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria. He had both his primary and secondary school education in Nigeria and completed his education at York University, Canada.
Dice Ailes Biography
Dice Ailes started singing at the age of nine; he loved to pen down poems influenced by his uncles who wrote songs. His mother also was part of the choir in their church. Dice started beat-boxing songs composed and being rehearsed for Church services.
At 15, he used some of the money he saved and released his first song which he titled ‘I Can’t Wait.’ He recorded it along with his uncle, Rado. The next year when he was 16, he aired his song on Rhythm 93.7 which got him to appear on DJ Jimmy Jatt’s “Jimmy’s Jump Off.” After, he traveled to Canada with his family where he furthered his education at the university and bagged a degree in Health and Society.
Dice Ailes’ parents supported him in his decision to go into music but also wanted him to get an education. According to him, his parents loved music, and although they did hesitate a bit, they were still very supportive.
He met Stephen Oruwari( Tee Tash ) while in Canada. Tee Tash had a keen interest in Dice Ailes’ talent and signed a production agreement with him.
He flew with Tee Tash in 2013 to Nigeria to promote his music, a song he titled “Yemisi” and to familiarize with the Nigerian Music Industry. In 2014, Dice Ailes met M.I Abaga through a mutual friend; Frank De Nero who was going to M.I’s house to record a song. When he got there, some of his songs were played for M.I, and M.I was very impressed with them. The next day, Dice had a meeting with Audu Maikori. Dice Ailes was signed into Chocolate City Music Label in July 2014. He released his first single under the record Label which he titled ‘Fantasy’ in 2014.

Dice Ailes was brought in to the limelight with his hit single ‘Miracle’ featuring Lil Kesh and produced by CKay which was a miracle indeed and scaled him to be ranked third on tooXclusive ‘Top 10 Songs for October 2016’. Aside from this, he also received a lot other accolades and nominations that same year for the hit single “Miracle.”
On the 21st of December 2016, Dice Ailes shared the stage with the likes of WSTRN, Krept, and Konan, Migost alongside Lil kesh at the “Beat FM Xmas Concert” 2016 in Lagos.
Dice Ailes Otedola
The song which he titled ‘Otedola’ was released in September 2017, which served as a follow-up single to the speculative hit record ‘Ella.’ The song is a nod of respect to Femi Otedola who is a Famous Nigerian Billionaire oil tycoon.

Dice Ailes states that his style of music can only be described as ‘Afro-Pop RNB’. He stated in an interview with Tush Magazine that he is a versatile artist with no specific genre. Dice began with the rap style, but then spiced it up a bit and moved on to Afro Pop and RNB. According to Diles, he only does everything and moves in any direction that music moves him.
