Ariana Grande Butera was born in Florida in the year 1993, June 26. She is a songwriter, actress, and singer. Her career began like many through the Broadway musical “13”, after which Ariana played the cast of Cat Valentine in the Nickelodeon TV series of the year 2010 to 2013. She also starred in the spinoff, Sam and Cat (2013 to 2014). She is quite famously known to have lent her voice to many animated television and films. However, her original music career began with a soundtrack Music from Victorious in 2011. Ariana Grande was born originally in Boca Raton, Florida. Her parents are Joan Grander, a Brooklyn-born CEO of Hose-McCann Communications and Edward Butera, who is a graphic designer firm owner in Boca Raton. She is from the Italian descent and calls herself “half Sicilian and half Abruzzese. She says her name, Ariana was inspired by Princess Oriana in the movie, Felix the Cat: The film.
Her older half-brother is an entertainer and producer and goes by the name Frankie Grande. She is also very close to her maternal grandmother, Majorie Grande. Her mom had initially moved from New York to Florida while pregnant with her before getting separated from her father, when Ariana was about 8 years old.
Her passion for performing art began as a child, for she played at one time in Fort Lauderdale Children’s theater where she starred in the movie Annie. She has also performed in the musicals for Beauty and the Beast and Wizard of Oz. While only eight years old, she had performed at a karaoke lounge on a cruise ship with various well-known orchestras such as Symphonic Orchestras, Florida sunshine Pops and South Florida’s Philharmonics. Her primary and high school education was done at the Pine Crest School and North Broward Preparatory School.
She began taking music seriously at age 13. However, she concentrated on theater performance. Her goal, however, when she got to L.A was to start making R&B music albums, but her managers discouraged this move because she was only 14. Therefore, by 2008, she focused on musicals earning a supporting role as Cheerleader, Charlotte in the musical 13, which later got her an award. By the time of joining the musicals, she had enrolled in the North Broward Preparatory school but did her schooling from her showbiz as the school sent materials her way, so she did not miss out.
In 2009, she was cast in the Victorious which is a Nickelodeon TV show alongside the 13 costars, Elizabeth Gillies. Due to her role in the movie, she had to dye her hair red because the executive producer did not wish that all of his cast members be brunettes and felt that the red hair was the personality of Cat Valentine, which was her role in the movie.
This show premiered in March 2010 and received well over 5.7 million viewers, therefore propelling Grande to the teen idol status.
After the Victorious outfit, she played the role of Miriam in a musical, Cuba Libre and after this decided to concentrate on her music career. This was when she began working on her debut album.

She at one time in 2014, sang at the White House Concert, Women of Soul: In Performance at the White House earning an invitation from President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama for the Easter Egg Roll event that same year.
She has received accolades for her shocking impression of Jennifer Lawrence and has been described for her Judy Garland seen as a boozy starship commander. Ariana Grande has also won an online voting poll at one time for the Best host of the season organized by Entertainment Weekly. She has released duets with Christina Aguilera and also the popular hit single: ”Side to Side” with Nicki Minaj.

She was once a catholic but pulled out because the church shuns homosexuality and her brother, Frankie is gay. She is in support of LGBT rights.
